I resigned from my job. What's next God?

ree

Wheeeeewwww!! It has been a minute since I have blogged! It feels so good to be back! Well, I guess I still have been blogging but it's just in a different way now. Each week I connect with my sister's #SHECANMOVEMENT. I send out a devotional called Weekly Fuel! It's something I write every week to help us get through the week... Cause the weeks just been coming our way with all the twists, turns, and sometimes plot twists. The devotionals are filled with tools, encouragment, challenges, Bible Verses for us to reflect on, and so much more. If you need some encouragement to uplift your week make sure to add your email (click here).

I might need to catch you up family!!!

I’m not sure if you remember but last year I started sharing with you how God was asking me to resign from my job. It really didn’t make sense to me because I had just received a promotion. I was finally starting to make a little bit more money.

Besides I had gone to school to get my Master’s in Social Work and then God was calling me to a completely different field. How is that so? I still have student loans, God. Please make it make sense for me. God why are you placing this transition on my heart? Why now?

God was slowly revealing to me that I was starting to make my job one of my idols. My job brought me so much security, safety, shoot it covered my housing sis. I didn’t want to lose that. Everything felt safe and secure.

But God doesn’t want us to settle for safe…

So there I was caught between ______ you know the old saying. “Caught between a rock and a hard place”. Not knowing if I should trust my heart or trust my God.

I was filled with anxiety, tears, excitement, worry, hope, and a lot of questions for God.

Can I say this? God has been calling you to transition and if you are anything like me when I was going through my transition you feel safer avoiding it.

God is calling you to rise and face your fears. God is calling you to Trust this transition He is about to take you on. God needs you to know that where He is taking you He won’t leave you.

My brother or my sister, What Transition have you been delaying? Is it moving to another location? Is it going after a job that you don’t feel qualified for? Is your transition starting a business, Youtube Channel, or Podcast? Is your transition becoming healthier or starting therapy? Is your transition ending a relationship?

What is your transition that you’ve been avoiding? I want to call this journey the journey of Trusting the Transition.

Fam, I need you to start praying and asking God to help you trust the transition He wants to happen in your life.

We’re going to take this one step at a time because "Trusting Hi Transition can be hard and scary if we can be honest".

Step One/Praying and Listening!

  • Praying and asking God to help you trust Him more.

  • Praying and asking God to give you the strength and confidence to say “yes” to Him even when you feel afraid.

  • Start praying and listening. This will lead you to God’s guidance!

Bible Verses to recite, believe, and claim over your life!

  • Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

  • Joshua 1:9: “I've commanded you to be strong and brave. Don't ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the LORD your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.

  • Psalm 46:10: "Stop fighting," he says, "and know that I am God, supreme among the nations, supreme over the world."

Welcome to a new journey of Trusting the Transition. Let’s start praying, listening, and believing God’s word.

I can't wait to share with you what God has called me to next! Any guesses! Let me know in the comments!

  1. Missionary to different countries!

  2. Flight Attendant!

  3. School Social Worker!

Talk soon!

In the meantime "Trust the Transition".....

Love you Family!

Najma
