So here’s all the information related to the terms and conditions of our retreats. Please read it carefully, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Terms and conditions for the she can retreats

BOOKING TRIPS & THE CONTRACT

By making a booking with the She Can Movement you accept on behalf of yourself and all those named on the booking, to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

**Please note that the She Can Movement only offers retreats and related activities to those 18 years of age and over.

PRICING

All retreat prices shown are per person and are quoted and payable in USD.

Unless stated otherwise, the price of your travel arrangement includes each and all of the component parts described within your booking confirmation invoice.

Not included in the price of your travel arrangement is your flight, transport, travel insurance, excess baggage charges, or any additional excursions or activities which are not confirmed as being part of your retreat arrangements.  

DEPOSITS

When you choose one of our retreats here is how it works:

  • Secure your spot: To complete your booking, you have to make a non-refundable deposit and fill out our online booking form. 

  • Balance Due: Your Retreat payment balance is due 40 days before the retreat begins. Don't worry—we'll send you a friendly reminder with the exact due date once your deposit is processed.

  • If the final balance isn't received by the due date, we can't guarantee your spot for the retreat. We reserve the right to cancel your booking and forfeit your deposit. Reach out if you need any assistance.

 

Wondering why deposits are non-refundable?

Our vendor(s) — housing accommodations, guest speakers, excursion companies, etc. — require upfront commitments that we must adhere to. When we offer a package to you we have to ensure through good-faith that payments will be made, and you will be attending the retreat. This is the only way our vendors will take us seriously, and will want to help us provide the best experiences possible to our She Can Movement attendees.

REFUND / CANCELLATION

We understand that unexpected events can arise that can affect your plans, so you may cancel your participation in a She Can Movement Retreat at any time, but please be aware of the following cancellation policy:
It is a huge commitment to bring this one of a kind transformative experience to our attendees and, therefore, all payments are non-refundable, including deposits, late fees, upgrades, full payments and installment payments.

​Any cancellation must be made in writing (via email) and be acknowledged by us in writing (via email).

BALANCE TRANSFER

If you need to make changes to your retreat plans, we’ve got you covered!

Full and partial retreat payments can be transferred to another retreat within one calendar year. To qualify, simply notify us 60 days or more before the retreat start date.

 

When transferring your payment, there is a $100 deposit transfer fee associated with this change. However, this fee allows you to avoid incurring any cancellation charges.

 

Additionally, you can transfer your balance to a friend who is also attending the same retreat. Just let us know at least 60 days in advance, and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.
Remember, you can only transfer your retreat deposit once. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to the She Can Movement. We’re here to ensure your retreat experience is exceptional.

FINAL PAYMENTS

As the retreat date approaches, we kindly request that the FINAL balance of the retreat price be paid 40 days prior to the retreat start date. This helps us ensure a seamless experience for all our participants.

Last-Minute Bookings: If you’re making a booking within the 40-day window, we’ll need your deposit (including full payment) right at the initial sign-up. 

Payment Breakdown: Payments are conveniently broken down into installments for all of our retreats.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

It's essential that attendees inform us about any medical conditions that may affect their ability to travel. This information should be provided on our registration form. Failure to notify us may result in the client being unable to participate in certain activities during the retreat, and any associated costs would be the client's responsibility.

Our Commitment to You: Cancellation and Refund Policy

While we strive to create unforgettable retreat experiences, there may be times when we need to adjust plans. 


Here’s what you need to know:

Cancellation by She Can Movement:


We reserve the right to cancel a retreat for any reason. If we do need to cancel, we’ll notify you promptly and transparently.

Your options:
If we cancel a retreat before the agreed departure date you will have two options:

  • Transfer your deposit: You can transfer your deposit to another retreat within one calendar year.

  • Full Refund: We’ll promptly refund all the payments you’ve paid for the retreat.

 

Incidental expenses and consequential losses:
While we take care of the big picture, we understand that small details matter. However, please note that we’re not responsible for incidental expenses or consequential losses you may incur due to the booking. These could include visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights, parking fees, or other costs.
We recommend considering travel insurance to cover such expenses.


Adaptability and Continuation:
Sometimes unexpected situations arise during a trip. If the scheduled trip cannot be provided after departure, we’ll swiftly make suitable alternative arrangements. Your experience matters to us!

TRAVEL & HEALTH INSURANCE

While embarking on an adventure with us, we recommend but it is not required that you consider travel medical insurance. Here's why:

  • Coverage essentials: Your insurance should cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses. Think of it as your safety net. We want you to feel secure, especially during unforeseen situations.

  • Going beyond basics: Extend your coverage to include cancellation, curtailment, and other unexpected expenses. Life happens, and we want you to be prepared.

  • ⁠Baggage and personal effects: We recommend safeguarding your belongings. She Can Movement isn't liable for loss, theft, or damage to baggage or personal effects.

EVACUATION PROCEDURES AND COSTS

Our team's decisions are always made with your safety and well-being in mind. When it comes to matters affecting the trip our judgment is final. We're here to create a positive and safe experience for everyone, and we appreciate your cooperation.

 

We reserve the right to prohibit any traveler from continuing on a trip if their actions pose a threat to others, wildlife, or themselves.

In the event of an evacuation, the costs are to be covered by the person being evacuated.

SUPPLIERS & INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS

We work with local suppliers who engage local operators and sub-contractors to arrange elements like hotels, accommodation, shuttle services, and excursions. We always strive to appoint reputable and competent suppliers. Their terms and conditions will apply, which may limit or exclude their liability. Our liability won't exceed that of any supplier.

PHOTOS and VIDEO CONTENT CREATION

During our retreats, photos or videos may be taken by participants, guides, and photographers. These images may be used in our promotional materials, website, and social media platforms (like Instagram and Facebook). However, if you prefer not to have your image used, please let us know.

DATA PROTECTION

To ensure smooth retreats, we collect personal information (such as name, address, special needs, health conditions, dietary requirements) from our attenedees. We sometimes have to share this information with our vendors. Rest assured, we apply appropriate security measures to protect your data.
By completing the She Can Movement Retreat Booking Form you are giving consent to this information being transferred as needed.
